Showstopper: Kerri Powers on Tour

Kerri Powers, an artist we featured here a couple of months ago, is back on tour in New England. You can catch her on February 20^th, at the Club Simply Fargone in Worcester, Massachusetts. Back to the future, again.

Sounds Right is under re-construction. The music industry has changed a lot since I began chronicling it in the mid-seventies. As Richard Thompson points out, it is almost impossible to get cd's reviewed any more. Many artists are taking on the responsibilities inherent in managing their own destinies, in distributing their sound. As a result, the mainstream media misses a lot of powerful, brilliant music.

That's where Sounds Right comes in.

Music is too much a part of our lives to get short shrift, in mine 'umble opinion. Sounds Right is committed to helping the reader navigate and identify sounds that are pleasing, inspiring, and worth listening to. We will try to defy categories, and offer opportunities for artists to share their insights and ideas. Our approach-- mixing new sounds and old friends, features, interviews, concert and CD reviews, is starting to build a constituency.

It is all about the music here.
